WHAT IS THE GOSPEL AND CULTURE?
In its first iteration, the Gospel and Culture started with Ernie Kruger and Charl Folscher in Dallas, TX. The idea was to create an online space where Gospel stories and teaching could be featured. They sort of had a game plan, but ultimately, Charl would move back to South Africa, and Ernie would move on to another town in Texas before they could build it out. A few years later Charl decided to pick up this idea again when he had the idea to make a documentary by the same name. Although this is still on the table it evolved into this website. A blog.
We love Jesus and by extension and also by command from Christ Himself we want others to know Him and love Him too. The vehicle through which that can be accomplished on earth is Jesus' Church. We want to present the message of Jesus in a powerful, emotional and intellectual way. For the church and for the seeker. The Gospel and Culture blog features a collection of individuals from various fields of ministry who write about what the message of Jesus truly is.

Presenting the Gospel of Jesus simply, truthfully and powerfully to those who seek and reorient the Church to the message of Jesus
WHY?
We believe the message of Jesus will always be tainted by our human perceptions and understanding and yet God chooses us to spread His Good News through the earth. I am also dismayed how much the Gospel has been morphed into something more filled with our humanness and fears in our current generation and how much we fight against each other about the Gospel. When the Gospel is true, fearless and presented with collective wisdom it challenges, changes and brings God's Kingdom to earth in spectacularly powerful and yet simple ways. The heart and reason for The Gospel and Culture is to collaboratively show the Gospel in its basic and most powerful form. The collision between the Gospel of Jesus and the culture it is represented in will be a focus and recurring theme in this blog.
We have started as a blog but have a vision for the future which involves more channels of communicating the Gospel.
